Dear Friends,
As I have written before, I want to express my genuine gratitude for the privilege, pleasure, and joy of being your dentist since 1982. Last October, I mentioned in a letter that I would be retiring, discontinuing my clinical activities at Columbia Smiles Family Dentistry. On April 8, 2021 this will officially be in effect. For 39 years, I have provided oral health care to our Columbia community, and I will forever cherish the relationships I have developed over the years. As mentioned in my original letter, the following quote describes it best, “Sometimes I inspired my patients; more often they inspired me.”
With the wonderful team of talented professionals, Columbia Smiles Family Dentistry has been honored nearly 20 times with the distinction of “Best Dental Practice of Howard County”. This accolade has given the entire team great pride and justification with respect to our commitment towards excellence. My gratitude is immeasurable to Charleen, Maura, Julie, Jennifer, Alice, Lilly, and Lauren, as well as the past professionals who have allowed Columbia Smiles Family Dentistry to achieve its reputation as having the highest standards of personal care and treatment excellence.
Moving forward, Dr. Parisa Parizadeh (Dr. Paris) will be Columbia Smiles Family Dentistry’s primary dentist. Dr. Paris and I are actively working together through this transition, and I am certain you will find that she will continue to provide the quality of care and service you have experienced over the years. Dr. Paris will be supported by our existing patient-focused hygienists, dental assistants, and front office patient care team members. I am extremely enthusiastic and fully endorsing that she will provide you exceptional professional care.
Dr. Paris graduated at the top of her class from the New York University College of Dentistry (NYUCD) in 2012 and received the NYUCD American Dental Education Association (ADEA) Chapter Teaching Program Certificate of Honor and Appreciation in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Upon graduation, she completed a one?year general dentistry residency program at the Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center prior to entering private practice. I look forward to you meeting her!
Sometime over the next few weeks, a member of our front office patient care team will contact you to answer any questions you may have about Dr. Paris and follow-up on any untreated needs and routine dental hygiene services appointments. As I indicated in previous correspondences, our office is delivering care under the highest standards of infection control and CDC-directed protocols for ultimate patient and team safety. We have dedicated a special number (410-690-4855) for you to contact us should you have any questions beforehand.
Dr. Paris and the Columbia Smiles Family Dentistry team will continue to faithfully provide you and your family and friends dedicated personal care.
Please accept my deepest appreciation for your trust and friendship. I will treasure both as part of my fondest memories of Columbia Smiles.
Warmest Regards,
David F. Halpern, DMD
